Morning broke early and the dead we’re buried.
All with full honours and in peace and quiet.
The Dervish host was no wear in sight.
The Columns reformed and prepared for another days slog!
As the Black Watch advanced a group of Dervish fled the village before them.
The rest of the Desert Column manoeuvred around the depression.
The River Column advanced on the high ground expecting opposition.
The Camel Corps, slightly isolated on the left flank also advanced behind a troop of Hussars.
As no opposition presented itself they continued forward.
On reaching the crest of the hill Dervishes could be seen!
The Imperial forces reacted and formed line.
The Dervish host withdrew!
It was almost like yesterday, with the enemy waiting for something!?
The Strew Gun battery fired a warning shot and was deadly accurate .
The Steamboat Flotilla was able to land at the first village.
Captain Barrington-Smythe was able to land , enter the village and begin negotiations to who was leaving from this village.
So, as with day one, the Columns advanced with little to no problems.
A short dust storm, a broken wheel on an Egyptian gun and a turn of inaction due to a command breakdown!
Then on the final turn the Dervish drums started again!
Perhaps this day holds greater challenges!
Positional photos to end with, and only small Dervish forces to the front of both columns.

Well done gentlemen please continue to advance as quickly as you can
The lancers on both flanks to press ahead and find out where the enemy is skulking.
Form line and skirmish as needed to brush aside any nuisances
Be ready to redeploy the Egyptian Artillery and Gatling Guns as needed.

It’s all going smoothly… too smoothly. I’m nervous!
Can we have some more close up photos of minis please? The quality is exceptional! This is the Gilder experience improved

Well done lads we now have the high ground but those drums have started again so we need to get ready to see off the Fuzzies again shortly and I have full confidence in my command but we will need to employ cold steel.
