Here you can see the 19th Hussars
leading the River Column.
The Cameron Highlanders, 1st Egyptian and the 1st Battalion Berkshire Regt’ about to leave the fortifications.
The 5th Battery R.A follow the Egyptians.
The Desert Column starts split into two.
By the river the Royal Marine Lt infantry, the 1st West Kent and the 9th Bengal Cavalry. Marching to join them the Black Watch, the 28th Bombay infantry and Egyptian Battery.
Lovely stuff! The images take me back to the great Sudan games I played at Peter Gilder’s wargames centre in the 80’s.
